Mentorship and Achievement in
"By Sewing to Your Own Business"
Under the mentorship of Katerina Tosheva, a fashion and textile product designer, and with the assistance of pattern designer Andrijana Pavlovski, the "By Sewing to Your Own Business" project has made significant strides. During the workshop, we dedicated our efforts to training eleven women of different ages, including those from vulnerable categories.
These women successfully mastered everything from the basic cut of a skirt to more advanced design and modeling techniques. After acquiring skills in tailoring, they progressed to learning various sewing techniques. The results exceeded our expectations, with the participants creating skirts of exceptional quality and design, worthy of runway presentation.
Everyone involved worked with immense dedication and enthusiasm. The success of this project has inspired several women to start their own businesses, highlighting the transformative power of skill development and mentorship.

October update on the sewing progress...
Smiling faces and hands full of work, the sewing and tailoring workshops are progressing smoothly in a friendly and educational atmosphere. Under the mentorship of Katerina Tosehva and her assistant, 12 girls and women are learning the craft of sewing and preparing for a significant challenge in their future careers. Their fashion pieces will be part of the fashion show during Fashion Week on October 25th.
With custom-made fashion designs and materials already procured, fashion designer Irina is preparing the fashion show, which will culminate our project activity in the field of women's entrepreneurship, now supported for the second year by the Slovenian Embassy.
