Announcement of the Project
“Promoting Women’s Innovation and Creativity in the Market” in STRUMICA

📌 Join our “Knitting to Own Business” training, a comprehensive program that delves into the art of knitting, hones manual dexterity, imparts valuable entrepreneurial skills, and guides you in creating your brand and business.

🧶🪡 We invite 10 dedicated participants—women and girls from Strumica and surrounding areas, especially those from vulnerable backgrounds and different ethnicities. If you are enthusiastic about learning, want to progress in the job market, and are ready to use your skills to create a unique business, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

🗓. The training consists of 12 sessions and will take place in two parts: every Monday from May 20 to June 24 and from September 2 to October 7, 2024. Classes will be held every Monday from 17:00 to 20:00, and attendance is mandatory. The mentor is Ivana Angova from MAMA Love Crochet, in collaboration with fashion designer Irina Tosheva.

Improving Crocheting Skills in Strumica

We’re excited to present the new knitting group of motivated and creative ladies from Strumica and the surrounding area, under the mentorship of Ivana Angova/ MAMA love crochet. These talented women are on a mission to improve their knitting skills, with the potential to create successful future businesses and self-employment opportunities.

📅 DMWC Workshops: "With Knitting to Your Own Business"

The Dobredojde Macedonia Welcome Center (DMWC) continues its impactful journey of empowering women with the ongoing workshops "With Knitting to Your Own Business" in Strumica.


About the Workshops:
These sessions are designed to provide women with practical skills in knitting, combined with entrepreneurial knowledge, to help them create sustainable livelihoods. Under expert mentorship, participants learn to master their craft while gaining insights into turning their passion into a thriving business.
Key Objectives:

  • Skill Development: Teaching knitting techniques that range from traditional patterns to modern designs.

  • Entrepreneurial Training: Equipping participants with the knowledge to market their products, manage their businesses, and navigate the marketplace.

The final workshop in the series "By Knitting to Your Own Business" brings together 10 talented young women in Strumica, who are mastering their craft under the dedicated mentorship of Ivana Angova.

This workshop marks the culmination of an inspiring journey where participants have honed their skills, embraced creativity, and prepared to showcase their talent.

Seminar on "Brand Management and Marketing Strategy for Small Businesses"

After the successful knitting training under Ivana's mentorship in Strumica, a seminar on "Brand Management and Marketing Strategy for Small Businesses" was organized. Fashion designer Irina Tosheva shared her many years of experience, exchanging practical examples from her business with about 30 participants, which led to a fruitful discussion. Dipl. economist Sofia Janeva focused on using social media for business growth, helping participants optimize their profiles for better visibility and increased sales.
